Get Naked. Stay Naked. KKW Creme Liquid Lipstick Set: The Heavenly Nude Lipstick Kit Of Our Dreams…

Hello, Beauties!

If you know me personally, you probably know that I love nude lipstick. There’s something about a bronze dusted face, long, volumptuous black eyelashes, a heavy black eyeliner, a gold based eyeshadow look, with a nude lip that makes me feel my sexiest. And it’s not just me…. The Kardashian’s are the one’s who basically brought the gorgeous and now, more popular than ever, nude lipstick trend to light. With Kylie Jenner’s array of nude lip kits, and Kim Kardashian West’s, now ICONIC, nude lip kit (which SOLD OUT several times on her website when it was released, and STILL sells out on a regular basis), most beauty brands have upped their nude lipstick game, with an array of brand new nude lipstick hues, nude lip kits, and nude lipstick sets, that seem to cover every beauty brand’s front/premiere website pages, marketing, and makeup counter/beauty section marketing campaigns’.  And just like leggings, every beauty buff/fashionista fell in love with the trend, which now, is becoming a CLASSIC staple in makeup artistry and the beauty industry. So even though 2017 (the year of the nude lipstick) has come to a close, it’s looking like 2018 won’t be any different; at least as far as nude lipsticks go. And I am ALL FOR making (and keeping) 2018, “The Year of the Nude Lipstick; 2nd Edition”. BUT today I’m going to review of a few different nude liquid lipsticks (that I haven’t reviewed before), that I am absolutely smitten with. AND they just so happen to be in one, convenient, gorgeous, flawless, heavenly set, which is none other, than the hottest set of nude liquid lipsticks out there; The KKW By Kylie Cosmetics Creme Liquid Lipstick (Kit) which can be purchased (when it’s not sold out, of course) for $45 on Kim’s website;

KKW By Kylie Cosmetics Creme Liquid Lipstick (Kit), is the nude lip kit of EVERY naked lip loving babe’s dreams. There are 4 different nude hues offered in the set, and all colors are universal nudes that look STUNNING on anyone. When I first saw the swatches on Kylie and Kim’s Instagram accounts, I almost died of nude lipstick bliss. KKW By Kylie Cosmetics Creme Liquid Lipstick kit was released on June 21st of 2017. And the kits have been selling out, restocked, then selling out again, ever since. BUT the good news is, it’s not a “Limited Edition” or “Special Edition” Liquid Lipstick Kit (unlike M.A.C’s “Limited Edition” Holiday or Celebrity collaboration lines, or Kylie Cosmetics “Holiday Edition” sets), so you don’t have to worry about not being able to purchase one of these beauties. AND you can sign up with your email on, so you can be alerted immediately when the KKW website restocks the KKW Liquid Lipstick Kit again.

Like the Kardashian’s, (well, before Kim went platinum blonde) being brunette really does go hand in hand with nude lipstick…. With that being said, it doesn’t mean blondes don’t look great with nude lipstick; it just means that blondes need to make sure the nude pigment in the lip color has some pinkish or mauve tones in it. And if you’re lucky enough to have gorgeous red hair, ANY NUDE will seriously look flawless with your red locks (ESPECIALLY Burgundy or extremely deep reds). That’s why KKW’s Liquid Lipstick kit is so great. The colors go with light, medium, deep, and deep dark skin tones, as well as ALL hair colors (unless you have unicorn or mermaid hair, of course; but if your hair is any sort of bright hue from over the rainbow, then you’ll know which lip colors work when you try on different swatches). The shades in the lip kit, which are described on KKW’s website are:

  • Kimberly: “A true nude”, which is a “true” nude color, with medium tan hues.
  • Kim: “A peachy nude”, which is a medium-deep peach hue.
  • Kiki: “A  pinky nude”, which is a light mauve nude, with pinkish undertones.
  • Kimmie: “A deep nude”, which is a deep mauve based nude, with deep tan hues.

As I mentioned in my blog post yesterday, I have a love/hate relationship with some different brands and shades of Liquid Lipsticks. If it’s extremely matte, it seems to dry out my lips. And if it’s too liquid, it seems to smear and get EVERYWHERE, not to mention if it’s too “liquid-y” it doesn’t usually last long (Fenty Beauty “Stunna Lip Paint” is exempt from this, of course). And that’s why I actually love KKW’s Creme Liquid Lipsticks. The formula isn’t matte; it’s creamy, so it “glides” on to your lips without tugging, or creating a “chalky” feeling. It can also be layered on for color payoff, without drying out and caking on your lips. So that means that if you are more “au naturale” you can swipe one layer on for a sheer look. And if you are into high color payoff (which I definitely am) the coverage is extremely buildable, and unlike most liquid lipsticks, it doesn’t crack, or flake. Kim has also included hydrating properties in the formula, so if you have dry lips and most liquid lipsticks don’t work for you, this formula still will work for you.

My ONLY complaint about this liquid lipstick, is that in order to achieve a bold, high colored lip, (like what a bullet style lipstick can provide or a matte liquid lipstick can) you have to layer this creamy liquid formula on. And you also have to touch this formula up, quite a bit; ESPECIALLY if you are eating, drinking, etc. The formula does transfer, because it’s a cream; Unlike her sister Kylie’s long wearing matte liquid formula’s non transfer, solid colored pigments. But with that being said, it doesn’t stain your lips, or smear, which end up making it practically impossible to remove if you accidentally go outside of your lip line, or smudge your lips. So if you love highly pigmented, solid nude lipstick applications, be aware that you will need AT LEAST two layers of the creamy formula. But the good news is, when it’s layered, it doesn’t cake, crack, or dry to an uneven finish like a lot of matte formulas do when layered. It’s also super hydrating, which your lips will thank you for. It’s a nice change to hydrate your pout, if you are used to rocking matte liquid OR matte solid lipsticks. Another bonus, is that no matter how much it’s layered on, or built up for a solid color finish, it still feels extremely light on your lips, unlike a lot of heavier matte formulas.

Another thing to watch out for, are counterfeit lipstick kits. SERIOUSLY. Ebay, DH Gate, Amazon, Mercari, Poshmark, etc. are all selling counterfeit KKW By Kylie Cosmetics Creme Liquid Lipstick (Kit)(s). Because the kit sells out regularly (but is restocked frequently), there are so many FAKE product copies going around. The only place to purchase KKW By Kylie Cosmetics Creme Liquid Lipstick (Kit)(s) that are 100% AUTHENTIC GUARANTEED, is I made the mistake of purchasing a “Brand New” kit on Poshmark…. Let’s just say the colors were orange, brown, and an ugly, unflattering bright red (two of them), that were the complete OPPOSITE of a nude lipstick set. At first I thought Kim may have released two different hued kits, but I did my research, and found out that I’d been scammed. Moral of the story: ALWAYS purchase makeup and beauty products from the beauty brand’s OFFICIAL WEBSITE; ( or retailer.

All in all, I give KKW By Kylie Cosmetics Creme Liquid Lipstick (Kit) 4 out of 5 stars. The colors are absolutely gorgeous, and the creamy formula is hydrating. The hues are universal nudes, which compliment any skin tone, but KKW loses one point for transfer issues/pigment could be a bit higher. BUT I am so in love with these lipsticks. And if you’re a “nude lip junkie” like I am, you will fall in love with these beautiful lippies!

Have A Fab & Fresh Day, Beauties!

    1. It really is a great kit! I def. am in love with it! And as for the nails, I got this pic off of Poshmark! I usually credit all of my pics to the correct websites, but for some reason it’s not showing up! BUT I do have nude pink/sparkly nails right now!! LOL! Thanks for the sweet comment though! It made me realize I need to give credit to the appropriate sites on this certain post!! I would hate to infringe on copyright laws! ❤
